Foliage:  Alternate; three to six pairs of blunt spines; dull, medium green Light: Full sun, tolerates partial sun
Bark:   Smooth, tannish gray to chalky gray Pruning: Little pruning to develop structure; tolerates severe pruning; best to prune late Winter to early Spring; avoid Fall pruning
  Uses: Hedges; parking lots; lawn tree; buffer strip; screens; streetscapes
